Our areas of interest include, but are not limited to: Pacific Northwest History & Literature; Western Americana; Poetry; First Editions; Travel; Fine & Decorative Arts; Books about Books, and Book Arts. Our gallery features exhibits of books arts & fine art. We happily work with individuals and institutions in developing their collections.

A major portion of our inventory is catalogued and accessible on-line; we also issue topical on-line lists and printed catalogues which are available on request.

We are always interested in acquiring new material, and welcome the opportunity to discuss individual volumes and collections of any size.

Shop hours are Monday thru Saturday, 11 am to 6 pm. We are also available outside of normal business hours, by appointment. Members, Antiquarian Booksellers Association of America (ABAA).

Old Saratoga Books has been open since 1996 and sells books in the shop as well as on the Internet.

You can visit our shop in person Wednesdays through Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sundays from noon to 5 p.m. If you need an alternate browsing time, call us at (518) 695-5607 or email us at info@oldsaratogabooks.com and we will arrange an appointment. Our brick-walled book shop is located in the Bullard Building, an 1870s commercial storefront, and features a wide-ranging selection of used, rare and out-of-print titles with an eye for the unusual and interesting. We stock 50,000 books organized in over 90 categories. We are particularly strong in the American colonial and Revolutionary War sections, and feature many vintage paperbacks, children's literature, history of all kinds, and classic novels. Only a small percentage of our titles are listed on-line, so feel free to call regarding any out-of-print books and we will be happy to search our shelves for you.

Stop by sometime and visit our comfortable shop. Our bookstore cat, Sam, will be happy to jump in your lap if given the chance, and Dan and Rachel would be happy to help you with your book searches or to share our favorite authors and titles with you.

The Chisholm Trail Bookstore

The Chisholm Trail Bookstore
Duncan, OK 73534

This is the front of the bookstore showing the middle glass plate; there two plate glass windows surrounding it. The bookstore is part of a large building in which there are separate offices, organizations, and businesses. Originally a car dealership, it was remodeled somewhere around 1975, I would guess, to the current structure. Approximately fifteen various organizations or business share this building, each as a separate and distinct unit with a separate entrance; it is rather like a mall in some respects.

The bookstore has been in business since 1995, and houses about 7,500 volumes in 1,000 square feet. Hours are mostly by appointment and quite flexible. Specialties are technical texts, university press books, regional Oklahoma and Western Americana books, and art catalogues. Numerous limited editions, first editions, and signed editions are available for purchase. A dedicated effort is made to locate books which are interesting and informative, presenting something of cultural or historical value to the reader.

Poet's Pulpit

Poet's Pulpit
Burlington, Ontario

Here's what I'm all about.

Beginning with a couple of hundred books on a shelf in Burlington, Ontario, Poet’s Pulpit has now grown into a retail used bookstore located in Oakville with more than eight thousand titles, an online store with a forum for writers, poets, and booklovers, and a publishing company dedicated to publishing books by independent authors.

Our goal is to broaden the definition of “used bookstore” by showcasing local artists and authors. Whether you are looking for a rare book or the latest best-selling novel our staff will gladly help you find it. “New” books come in daily, so please stop in and say hello.

At Poet’s Pulpit we are more than just used books, we are also building a community one book at a time™.
